RNCP Certificate

Get a Degree-Level Certificate If You Want It

At 42 Vienna, your education is focused on skills and experience, not grades or diplomas. However, if you’re aiming for a formally recognized qualification, we offer the opportunity to earn the RNCP certificate, issued by 42 Paris and approved by the French Ministry of Labour.
The RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) is a professional certificate that aligns with the European Qualifications Framework — and is often compared to a Bachelor’s (Level 6) or Master’s (Level 7) degree.

Who Can Get It?

Earning the RNCP certificate is completely optional and independent from your final 42 diploma. It’s available to:

  • Current students who have completed the common core
  • Alumni who continue working on eligible projects
  • Candidates who meet specific milestones (XP levels, group projects, internships, etc.)
Important: Not all campuses offer the RNCP certificate by default — please check with the 42 Vienna team for current availability and guidance.

What Are the Requirements?

To be eligible, you need to:

  • Complete the common core
  • Reach a defined XP level (e.g. Level 17 for RNCP 6)
  • Finish specific post-core projects
  • Participate in professional internships
  • Attend a set number of pedagogical events
  • Choose a specialization track and follow its project path

Each certificate track comes with a defined curriculum path, tailored to real-world job roles in tech — such as full-stack developer, systems architect, or data engineer.
