The 42 is a free programming school whose idea was first implemented in France in 2013. With its unique peer-to-peer model, the 42 has achieved groundbreaking success. For example, a proud 100% of our 42 alumni get a job while still in school or after graduation. 30% of them even start their own businesses. Currently, there are 42 partner schools in over 25 countries worldwide.

Our training model is based on the peer-to-peer method, in which students learn by interacting with their peers and themselves. At their side, a competent pedagogical team that checks progress and offers assistance.

By this we mean the interaction of students with each other to solve tasks together. This type of teamwork not only promotes problem-solving skills, but above all critical thinking.

The assessment of your projects will be done by the students, under the guidance of the 42 pedagogy. An active interaction process that teaches.

At the programming school, all content is taught and provided in English. English is the language in the digital world and enables our students to work internationally.

Typically, our students complete the program in 2-4 years. It is important to us that you can learn and progress at your own pace.

No. You decide when you feel ready for the working world and give yourself room to find out. After the first year of basics, you are at junior level and can decide whether you want to stay on the job after your paid internship or specialize further.

With us there are no timetables. You determine your own (learning) time and organize it. Basically, the programming school is available to you 365 days a year, whereby you should expect an average of about 40 hours per week (or more).

Since the training takes place in Vienna, a suitable housing situation on site is essential. We are happy to support you in your search for accommodation and offer discounted prices for youth hostels for the time of the Piscine.

We won’t tell you anything about that! But one thing is for sure: Those of you who work steadily, don’t give up, pursue goals and demonstrate team skills have a great chance of being able to study with us. We are enthusiastic about your motivation and the urge to push things forward.

All participants will be informed by mail of an acceptance or cancellation no later than two weeks after the piscine.

If you do not pass the Piscine, you will have another opportunity to prove yourself at one of our 42 schools after one year. This means that you can attend one Piscine per year, but only two in your lifetime.

The programming school does not graduate with an accredited diploma. You will receive a certificate as proof of your participation and the assurance that 100% of our graduates received immediate permanent employment at the 42 schools.

We don’t have any upper age limits, you only need to be 18 years old to start with us.

No. You do not need to know how to program to be accepted on the 42 and it is not a guiding factor for your success.

Our learning curriculum builds on the innovative program of École 42 Paris and is applied in over 42 campuses in more than 25 countries.

A successful future awaits you. Find out more about your career options and opportunities after your training.
